The UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator for Yemen expressed his sadness to learn about the assassination of one of staff in Dhale’ Governorate of Yemen.
Peter Hawkins. Issued a statement saying “ I am shocked and deeply saddened to learn of the appalling attack on Dr. Akeed Qaed, an ADRA staff member in Ad Dhale’ Governorate of Yemen”.
The statement added” We received the tragic news that Dr Qaed was killed after Friday's Sermons in front of his house in Ad Dale’s District by unknown gunmen.”
Hawkins called on the Yemeni authorities for a thorough and expeditious investigation into this tragic incident.
Dr. Akeed Qaed, a Yemeni national worked for ADRA for three years.
