Naval forces of the Yemen internationally recognized government have intercepted a vessel allegedly smuggling weapons to Houthi rebels in the Red Sea.
The seizure occurred near the international shipping corridor, according to the official X account of the forces.
A patrol team boarded the vessel and escorted it to a secure location for inspection. The inspection uncovered anti-tank munitions, RPG launchers, sniper rifles, and a large quantity of machine gun belts packed in bags.
The crew were detained, and an investigation is underway to determine the origin and intended destination of the weapons.
